Steps to make Nasi Goreng Jawa (Javanese Fried Rice):
  1. Heat the oil in the wok over medium-heat. Sauté the ground spices until fragrant.
  2. Add ‘terasi’ (shrimp paste). Mix well.
  3. Add rice. Keep stirring until the rice blended with the ground spices.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add bean sprouts. Stir again for a minute or two.
