Hello everybody, I hope you’re having an incredible day today. Today, we’re going to make a special dish, croissant. It is one of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I am going to make it a bit unique. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

The croissants were light, flaky and tastes great. I used a little more flour as well used pastry four instead of all-purpose. It made them a little more lighter. I cheated too and made the dough in the bread maker.

Croissant is one of the most well liked of recent trending foods on earth. It’s enjoyed by millions every day. It’s simple, it is fast, it tastes delicious. Croissant is something which I have loved my entire life. They are nice and they look wonderful.

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have croissant using 9 ingredients and 10 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Croissant:
  1. Prepare 1 package active dry yeast
  2. Take 1 cup warm water
  3. Make ready 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  4. Take 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  5. Take 1 egg
  6. Prepare 5 cups all-purpose flour divided 1/4 cup butter,melted
  7. Prepare 1 cup butter, chilled and diced
  8. Take 1 egg, beaten
  9. Get 1/3 cup white sugar

Lay the croissant on the work surface with the notched side closest to you. Proof the yeast in the warm water and set aside. Beat until smooth and set aside. If you have never had a croissant before, boy are you in for a treat!

Steps to make Croissant:
  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes. Stir in milk, salt, sugar, 1 egg, 1 cup flour and melted butter. Beat to make a smooth batter; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, cut the one cup firm butter into remaining four cups flour until butter particles are the size of dried kidney beans.
  3. Pour the yeast batter over this and carefully turn the mixture over with a spatula to blend, just until all flour is moistened.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until well chilled, at least 4 hours or up to four days.
  5. Turn dough out onto a floured surface; press into compact balls and knead about 6 turns to release air bubbles.
  6. Divide dough into four equal parts. Shape one at a time. Refrigerate the remaining dough.
  7. Roll one part of the dough on a floured board into a circle 17 inches in diameter. With a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the circle into eight equal pie-shaped wedges
  8. Roll the wedges loosely toward the point. Shape each roll into a crescent and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  9. Allow 1 1/2 inches space between each roll.Cover and let rise at room temperature until almost doubled in size.Approximately 2 hours. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 200
  10. Brush croissants with beaten egg. Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes, until golden

Beat until smooth and set aside. If you have never had a croissant before, boy are you in for a treat! Croissants are a classic French pastry, rolled and shaped into a crescent. They're light and airy, and so buttery, with a hint of sweetness and a little bit of a yeasty, stretchy texture. There's nothing else quite like a croissant!
