  3. Get 2 Medium Potatoes
  4. Get 1 Inch Ginger
  5. Prepare 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  6. Make ready 1 tsp Garam Masala
  7. Prepare 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  8. Get 2 Red dry chillies
  9. Make ready 1 Black Cardamom
  10. Make ready 2 Green Cardamoms
  11. Get 4 whole black peppercorns
  12. Make ready 1 Bay leave
  13. Take 300 ml water
  14. Take to taste Salt
Steps to make Drumstick Veg Biryani:
  1. First of all wash and peel the potatoes. Diced the potatoes in to quarters. Prepare the drumsticks. As shown in the pic below. Snap in halves and get 8 little sticks out of 2 drumstick.
  2. In pressure cooker, heat up 2 tbsp oil. Once heated up, add bay leaves, cardamoms, cumin seeds, whole dry red chillies and black peppercorn. Cook until aromatic.
  3. Add potatoes, chopped ginger and drumsticks. Cook until potatoes are soft (80%cooked).
  4. Add garam masala, turmeric, sambar masala and salt. Cook it for further 5 mins.
  5. Add washed Basmati Rice and water. Cover it with the lid until you hear 2 whistles.
  6. If you don’t have the pressure cooker. Use any other pots. Making sure you double the quantity of water. If it’s one cup of rice, you will 2 cups of water in the pot.
  7. Once done, serve it into the bowl with some salad.
