The ingredients needed to make Chocolate filled croissants:
  1. Get 1 egg
  2. Get 1 tbsp water
  3. Prepare 1 sheet (1 package) Puff pastry sheet
  4. Get 2/3 cups chocolate chips

Repeat with the other half of the dough. Brush the croissants with the beaten egg. Rotate the pans halfway through baking. Remove chocolate croissants from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool for a few minutes before serving.

  1. Heat oven at 150 degress. Line two baking sheet with butter paper.
  2. Beat the egg and water in a bowl.
  3. Flour your counter top, put pastry sheet and dust flour on it too. With the help of rolling pin roll the puff pastry sheet.
  4. Cut pastry square in half then cut each half into four rectangles (making eight)
  5. Now cut each rectangle diagonally into two triangles (making 16)
  6. Place about 2 tsp of the chocolate chip chunks in the centre of each triangle. Then at the wider end, roll each triangle up. Place each croissant side down so that the tip of the triangle is tucked under the rolled one.
  7. Then bend in the edges, creating a crescent shape.
  8. Brush tops of croissants with egg and water mixture.

Rotate the pans halfway through baking. Remove chocolate croissants from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool for a few minutes before serving. Place shaped croissants on baking sheets lined with silicone mats. Brush croissants with a large portion of the egg wash.
