Fried rice is a dish of cooked rice that has been stir-fried in a wok or a frying pan and is usually mixed with other ingredients such as eggs, vegetables, seafood, or meat. Fried rice is a tasty dish that is traditionally made from steamed rice stir-fried in a wok, but it can also be made in a pan. This is my default fried rice recipe as I like the carrot/pea combo, but any meat/veggie can be added to make it a meal in itself.

  1. Get 3 cups cooked rice

  5. Take 3 tbsp That Rendang Lady sambal paste or 3 tbsp of chilli paste or sambal oelek)

  7. Make ready 1 tbsp sweet soya sauce, 1 tsp of salty soya sauce and 1 tsp of caramel soya sauce. Mix them with 2 tbsp of water
  8. Get 3 eggs
  9. Take 100 grams canned garden peas
  10. Prepare small knob of butter

This black rice is stir-fried with edamame, bean sprouts, and juicy diced pineapple. Whip up a wholesome dinner in a flash with our simple fried rice recipes. A great vegetable fried rice recipe begins with well-cooked white rice. This shrimp fried rice dish is best if you use day-old rice.

Steps to make Fried Rice:
  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok and saute the onion till soft. Add in the pounded garlic and shrimp. Continue to stir till fragrant. Add in the diced chicken and continue to cook till chicken is cooked through.
  2. Add in some salt and the sambal paste as well as few tablespoons of the soya sauce mixture. Stir to incorporate the sauce then add the garden peas rice. Let cook for a minute.
  3. Finally, sprinkle with the crispy anchovies and chopped spring onions if you have some.
