The ingredients needed to make Shrimp Biryani:
  1. Make ready 1-2 cups Basmati rice  
  2. Take 8 / Cleaned shrimpprawns
  3. Get prawns Oil-for frying
  4. Get 1 onions Chopped
  5. Prepare 1 tomatoes Diced
  6. Take 2 chilly Green -split
  7. Make ready 1 tbsp Greek yogurt
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  9. Prepare 1 Coriander powder-tbp
  10. Take 1 1/2 Chilly powder-tbp
  11. Get 1/2 tsp Pepper
  12. Take leaves / Cilantrocoriander
  13. Get 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  14. Prepare 1 tsp Lemon juice
  15. Prepare cloves cinnamon bay leaves peppercorns cardamom & Spices- sticks,,, amp; amp;
  16. Get onions nuts Caramelized and fried (optional)
  17. Prepare 1 tsp Chilly powder
  18. Get 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  19. Make ready as required Salt
  20. Take 1 tsp Pepper
  21. Take 2 tsps Corn starch
  22. Make ready 1 Egg white -beaten
  23. Make ready 2 Water -  tbp
Steps to make Shrimp Biryani:
  1. Firstly make batter with the above marination ingredients and marinate prawns.Keep aside for 10-15 mts. Do not make the batter too runny.
  2. Now take a sauce pan and heat some oil.Crackle some cumin seeds,then add sliced onions,ginger garlic paste and saute well till onions are golden.Add salt and turmeric.
  3. Add diced tomatoes,green chillies and cook well on medium flame.
  4. Now add chilly powder,coriander powder,pepper and saute well.
  5. Keep the flame on low and add the yogurt and mix well.
  6. Add little water and let the gravy cook on simmer.
  7. Meanwhile deep fry the batter coated prawns in another pan and keep them ready.
  8. Once the prawns are fried, add them to the gravy and keep it on simmer.
  9. Now you can layer the gravy and rice alternatively in a dish along with fried onions and nuts and keep in oven at 350°F for about 10 min.
  10. Garnish and serve hot!
